What are Mygetgos?
Mygetgo’s are fully customisable home pages where you decide on its contents, its links and even how it all looks allowing you to easily get the best from the internet.
All you have to do is sign-up, choose a Mygetgo theme to suit who you are then add your fav links and content. If you use a search engine like Google then add one of these. If you get bored with anything then at the click of a button - you can change you mind - after all it’s your Mygetgo - you choose!

What does 'beta' mean?
Mygetgo is in beta mode - it means it’s our first version and we are still ironing out the bugs, issues and overall trying to expand the Mygetgo service. With your help we hope to develop and expand Mygetgo over future releases.
Do they cost?
No - there will always be a FREE version of Mygetgo. As we expand and offer more services and content through Mygetgo some of these may be pay for services.
What can they do for me?
A Mygetgo homepage can make your web surfing a lot faster, more fun, personalised to you and allot easier. All your fav links right there when you start your browser, fun and useful content, all packaged in a look that fits you as an individual. So if you travel or want to access your most used stuff from anywhere in the world at any time - then use Mygetgo.
Can I customise Mygetgos?
Yes - we aim to make Mygetgo as customisable as possible, as easy as possible. In this Beta version this can be done through pre made themes that you can select. In future release we will give out a template which you can customise and upload for your own use or for the whole Mygetgo community to share. Just give us a little time to develop this and work with us.
How doI use Mygetgo on Holiday or from another computer?
It’s easy as long as you remember your username and password. Just open a browser and point it to www.mygetgo.com. Then type in your username & password and your Mygetgo is there! Just remember to log-out so no-one else can edit and change your page when you have finished :) This means you can take and access all your fav links and content wherever you go in the world - cool!
Can I make a Mygetgo homepage for a group of friends & we all use itas a homepage?
Absolutely! This would be a great way to keep a community or group up to date with all the best links and resources. You can share the personal URL/Address of the Mygetgo page and your whole group can use it as their browser homepage. Which leaves you as the main editor of the homepage and you can choose what content to share, the overall look and where to share it.
How do I add more content?
Just click on the 'add/delete nodules' link in the horizontal bar just below the header panel (displaying your name). This then brings up a page showing you a list of content modules you are already using and a drop down panel where you can add more.
Remember:you can also have more than one of the same content panel - for example two search engine modules one for Google then other for Yahoo. Or two links panels one for work and another for play! The choice is yours.
Remember:You can also change/edit the name/titles of the content panels on the same content choice screen by using the edit/pad icon.
How do I delete content panels?
You can delete any content panel by clicking the [x] in the top right of the panel header bar. We will present a warning message first though but when you say yes to this it’s gone - so if you do this with your saved bookmarks then think first as you will loose them.
Can I upload my own photos?
Yes - if you have a Gallery panel within your Mygetgo, then click on the 'add images' link & button.
The next page shows you any images you have uploaded and your display setup options. To upload an image click on the 'upload image' link at the top.
Next - find the image on your computer using the 'Browse' button (usually in my documents/my pictures...) on a P.C. You can also add a description to go with the image you upload - this will be shown under each image in the gallery.
Remember: any image you upload can be sent as an e-card - so there’s no need to search the net for e-cards anymore! Make your own - show friends and family your holidays snap or send then a personalised birthday, anniversary, occasion’s card or just a message to say hi! OR use the Mygetgo e-card facility for other ingenious ways like: invites, posters, introduction cards, shout outs and much, much more!
Is there a limit to the size and number of images I can have?
Yes to a upload size (500kb). NO to a screensize - but we do resize the image to fit within our system and make it easier to use and create as e-cards. So in the gallery your image will appear small but when sending as an ecard they will retain their original upload size.
How do I send one of my images as an ecard?
When you have the 'gallery' module within your Mygetgo, just click on the send as ecard link/button.
Then fill out the small form and it will be posted for you!
OR click on the 'edit' link in the 'gallery' module. This will then take you to the edit options where you can select any image and by clicking the ecard icon this send the image as an ecard.
How do I add 'News feeds/content' to Mygetgo?
Firstly click on 'add content' in the horizontal bar under the header bar. This will display the content modules you have chosen to include in your Mygetgo. Select a new module in this case 'news'. Click save. And now go back to your Mygetgo homepage to see it in your page. If you want to place it somewhere else on the page - grab the top header bar of the panel and drag it to where you want it.
To edit it and select which news source you want to see in the 'news' panel click the 'edit' link. This then present a list of the news feeds - select one, press save and it will now appear in your Mygetgo page.
Remember: You can have more than one news panel within your page by just adding another news module in the 'add content' part. You can then select a different news source and have two within your page - or as many as you want - it’s your choice!
How do I use the notepad?
If you’re like us in the Mygetgo team then you are always forgetting to do this and that. This is where the notes panel comes in handy - once you have chosen to add this to your Mygetgo page, you just click on 'add note' to open up the edit window. A list of notes is then shown and at the top there is a button to add notes.
Can I change which search engine I want to use?
Absolutely! If you add a search engine panel to your Mygetgo page, just click on the 'edit' link to then choose which search engine to use. We currently have;

Remember: You can have more than one search engine panel with you Mygetgo page - the choice is yours!
Can I move the content panels around?
Yes - Mygetgo has been designed so that you choose what you want - where you want - how you want!
Just place the mouse cursor over the header bar of any content module until it changes then drag the content box to where you want it to be and it will resize to fit your page!
Can I duplicate the content panels?
Yes - you can have four different news panels and two search engines - everything within Mygetgo is there for you to choose and display as you want to. To add extra content modules click on the add/delete content link in the horizontal bar under the header bar (the one with your name in it). Now choose your content module form the drop down box.
Remember:You can change the name/titles of all the content panels.
How do I use the button bookmarks/links?
The Mygetgo team wanted to create our pages with more than just text links especially for our fav websites so we decided to use the 'blog style' buttons for sexy graphic links or button bookmarks.
If you want to add these to your Mygetgo page first click on the 'edit' link in the button bookmarks panel. This opens a page which lists your current choices and you can delete the ones you don’t want to use. At the top of this panel there is a link 'add buttons' clicking this opens a page where you can choose which button links to add. You can do this by viewing ALL buttons or by choosing a category from the drop down list.
If you have any button bookmark suggestions email us and we will endevour to add them.
Can I change the look of Mygetgo?
Yes - you can in this stage of Mygetgo change the look of your page by clicking on the 'change theme’ link in the horizontal bar under the heading bar (the one with your name in it). This takes you to a menu of the current theme looks we have to offer. In a future version update we hope to let you completely change your theme yourself using a template. Until then if you have any suggestions for themes email us here and we'll see what we can do for you.
Can I upload my own background images?
Not in this beta version - but we do plan to allow you to customise every part of the Mygetgo pages in future releases. Just hang on in there with us - if you have any suggestions for themes email us here and we'll see what we can do for you.
Can I change the colours of the text and links?

Can I create an entire new theme/look?
Not in this beta version - but we do plan to allow you to customise every part of the Mygetgo page in future releases using a template you download, edit and then reupload and share. Just hang on in there with us.

Do I have to signup and create an account?
Yes - because we create a Mygetgo expressly for you, based on your wants and needs you have to create an account. Don’t worry we wont spam you or sell your personal details to anyone.
Will Mygetgo email me?
Yes - we will email our members, expressly only when we have some important news and updates to Mygetgo services that we need to inform you of. We will never spam you or sell your details to others.
Why can't I change the name of Mygetgo?
When your Mygetgo account is created the process generates a unique URL (website address). This address uses your username as part of this URL. Which is why we say 'think carefully about the heading/name of your Mygetgo page' on sign-up as this cant be changed later within the sign-up process. If you really don’t like your Mygetgo name then you can always just create a new account.
